Registered my domain name, now what? Why can't I find my web page?
A domain name tells visitors where you can be found on the Internet. However, after registering a domain you will still need a place to host your web page. Thus, you must separately associate your domain name with a web page or website. I.T.Pakistan registers domain names and also offers users the option of web hosting. Please contact hosting@itpakistan.net for further details.

How do I upload my site using CuteFTP and WS_FTP?
In order to upload your site, you will need to download an FTP client such as CuteFTP, or WS_FTP. You then can upload directly to your domain by entering your domain name as the server and the same username and password as you use to log in to your I.T.Pakistan account. When you enter your account, you will be presented with a list of domains that you have chosen to have hosted. These will be displayed as folders. Double click the domain-folder into which you want to add files. Make sure your default page, the first page of your site, is named index.html (all lowercase).

Choosing an FTP program:

The two most popular FTP (File Transfer Protocol) programs available on the Internet today are WS_FTP and Cute FTP. Both are excellent programs, and it is really a matter of personal preference as to which FTP program you choose to use.
Both can be downloaded from their respective websites:
http://www.cuteftp.com
http://www.wsftp.com

Using CuteFTP:
First, you need to "Add site." Under "Site Label," enter the name of your site. The "Host Address" is your web page address (i.e. yourname.com). For "User ID" and "Password" use your I.T.Pakistan username and password. For "Login type," choose "Normal." After you add the site, click on "Connect." After the connection is established, on the left-hand side, you will see the files and directories of your local computer, and on the right-hand side, you will see the files and directories on the I.T.Pakistan Hosting web server. You will need to select the directory that corresponds to your site name. This directory is where the files will be loaded. You can drag files between the local and the remote window.
